Posted on Tuesday 27 September 2011

You remember when some of these low-budget movies came out, right? They were hailed as box office blockbusters made for nothing and now you can catch any of them on your http://www.direct.tv satellite tvhere’s to reminiscing.
Blair Witch Project – Probably the most celebrated low-budget film of its era, Blair Witch brought forth a new idea in scary and it sold a lot of movie tickets, too. Who would have guessed three kids with a video camera could make so much money?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding – When this cult classic was made it was for pennies on the dollar but who would have known it would catch the hearts of America? We see it rerunning on TV all the time and some of its stars became, well, stars.
Little Miss Sunshine – Remember when Abigail Breslin was a relative unknown? This little picture shot her to super stardom and brought in quite a lot of money for its independent studio. It showed us that Steve Carrell can be serious, too, although we like him best funny.
